E.G.G. are the initials of E. Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, bestselling author and founder of Gen Con (the largest tabletop game convention in North America by both attendance and number of events). EGG CON is a fun and clever way to say E. Gary Gygax CON and way more efficient!
Most importantly, EGG CON is a celebration of Role Playing Games (RPGs) and its history, set in the hometown of Gary Gygax, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This annual EGG CON event is a small, old school mini-con held over or as near as possible to the weekend of Gary's birthday, officially known in Lake Geneva as "Gary Gygax Day".

We have contracted all of the event space of two adjacent properties in downtown Lake Geneva – no driving! Both The Cove and Harbor Shores on Lake Geneva have event space for our gaming and exhibitor hall for up to 550 attendees. Each have a restaurant on site, and are within a block or two of many other restaurants and local attractions. Free event parking will be available – a huge perk in summer in Lake Geneva!
On May 14, 2025, the inaugural E. Gary Gygax Memorial Scholarships were presented to four high school seniors in Lake Geneva. Mia Flores was chosen as the awardee of this year's $2,000 scholarship for her untitled short story submission. Honorable mention awardees of $100 each went to Daniel Tanner, Lucas Pokorny, and Brody Busch. All four are talented writers and we wish them all the best in their continuing education and creative efforts!

Every attendee will receive an official egg con ii passport when they check in!

When you receive your EGG Con Passport you may begin an epic quest. Visit designated locations around Gary's fair city and at each point, an official will stamp your passport. Complete the requisite number of quests and recieve a d6 of eggceptional power and a chance to win a fantastic prize.
Your passport will contain a map, a list of destinations, and helpful information that will result in discounted items at select locations. It is also your official event guide and autograph book. Guard it well, adventurer!
On Friday, July 25th, from 6:00pm until 11:00pm, Game Wizard badge holders will play in an exclusive Dungeons and Dragons game with a legendary DM at the Wizard of Lake Geneva exhibit at the Geneva Lake Museum!
Food and beverages will be provided.
