EGG CON is hosted in Downtown Lake Geneva, WI
As Lake Geneva is the hometown of Dungeons & Dragons co-creator, Gary Gygax we have contracted event space of two adjacent properties in downtown Lake Geneva, The Cove of Lake Geneva and Harbor Shores on Lake Geneva, as well as special event space at Historic Maxwell Mansion and at the Geneva Lake Museum. We have abundant event space for our gaming and exhibitor halls for up to 550+ attendees. Each have a restaurant on site, and are within a block or two of many other restaurants and local attractions. Free event parking is also provided – a huge perk in Lake Geneva!

EGG CON is a celebration of Role Playing Games (RPGs) and their history, set in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the hometown of Dungeons & Dragons creator, Gary Gygax. This annual event is a small, old school mini-con. Why EGG, you may ask? E.G.G. are the initials of E. Gary Gygax, bestselling author and founder of Gen Con (the largest tabletop game convention in North America by both attendance and number of events). EGG CON is a fun and clever way to say E. Gary Gygax CON and way more efficient! Come help us celebrate the father of role-playing games where it all began..jpg)

Every attendee will receive an official EGG CON IV Passport when they check in!
- When you check in at EGG CON Registration you will receive your Passport. This Adventurer's Guide contains a map, helpful information and info on discounts at select locations. It is also your official event guide and autograph book! But wait, theres more! This Magnificent Manual of Merry Mayhem has information about several epic quests!
- Visit designated locations around Gary's fair city and at each point, an official will stamp your passport.
- Hunt for and find 12 runaway dragons. Log their locations and and return to CON HQ to report your success.
- Use your Geocache App to locate 5 spell componants needed to free the handsome prince from his tower prison.
Complete the requisite number of quests and recieve an EGG CON IV D6 of Eggceptional power and a chance to win a fantastic prize. Guard it well, adventurer!
On May 14, 2025, the inaugural E. Gary Gygax Memorial Scholarships were presented to four high school seniors in Lake Geneva. Mia Flores was chosen as the awardee of the 2025 $2,000 scholarship for her untitled short story submission. Honorable mention awardees of $100 each went to Daniel Tanner, Lucas Pokorny, and Brody Busch. All four are talented writers and we wish them all the best in their continuing education and creative efforts!
